The Commercial National Bank of Cleveland, Ohio, was organized December 1st, 1864, and assumed business on the same day. Its charter was renewed in 1884, and the bank was continued with no change of management or of stockholders. In 1869, the Commercial National Bank moved into its own quarters in the National Bank building, which had been jointly erected by it and the Second National Bank, on the corner of Superior and Water streets.
